Despite not having to worry about crowds, crime, and expense, city living does have its conveniences. This is what you’ll need to set up if you decide to get away from the most populated areas. First, think about areas of the country that you prefer to live that are in proximity to smaller cities. If you live close to Manhattan, you are going to have to travel several miles to find a rural area. However, if you live near a smaller city, you’ll be able to reach downtown within an hour’s drive of a very rural home. Consider searching for homes in the Midwest if you want to be near a city without feeling like it is close by.
