If you want to lose weight fast, you need to employ effective strategies instead of trying to rely on fad diets, gimmicks and empty promises.  Here are 5 effective strategies to help you lose weight the effective and easy way.

Strategy #1 Eat some protein with each meal.  It takes a lot more energy to digest protein than other types of nutrients which means you will burn calories and also help to maintain and build muscle.  You also need to eat more protein when you are working out on a regular basis.  It helps to not only build but also repair muscle after intense workouts and help you to lose weight fast.  You can also use protein supplements to get more protein.

Strategy #2  Limit your carbohydrate intake of foods such as bread, potatoes, rice and sugary drinks right after you have had a workout.

Strategy #3 Eat four to six small meals a day.  You will lose weight faster when you eat smaller meals more frequently because you will keep your metabolism running high which will burn off body fat and calories more quickly.

Strategy #4 Engage in interval training for a minimum of three times per week.  This involves exercising in intervals of high intensity alternated with lower intensity.  It is a very effective way to get your exercising done in a shorter amount of time and is more effective for burning calories and losing weight than spending hours and hours on low intensity cardio exercises.

Strategy #5 Eat plenty of green leafy vegetables at each meal.  They are rich in vitamins and nutrients and will help you feel full without having to consume a lot of calories.  Vegetables are also a great thing to snack on when you are feeling hungry.  Have plenty of carrot sticks and other favorite veggies on hand.

These five simple strategies will help you lose weight effectively.  They aren’t hard or complicated, but merely involve some adjustments to your current eating and exercising habits.
